All About Me

My name is Megan Maltby and I am an IBCLC or International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. To expand my knowledge and career, I have also graduated from Birthingway College of Midwifery with a certificate in Lactation Consultation in 2015. This certificate consisted of 1.5 years of lactation specific education and clinical practicum with extensive training in order to provide upstanding and thorough lactation care.

I have always been fascinated by pregnancy, birth and lactation and since having my daughter and experiencing them first hand, my fascination and interest turned into a passion with a desire to support the mother/infant dyad as well as their families. I each year I continue to educate myself on the new research and science surrounding breastfeeding and lactation by attending conferences and classes. 

I enjoy meeting local care providers in order to gain a better understanding of their practices and how they may support the breastfeeding relationship. I always have great referrals in my back pocket to meet each clients personal needs. 

The most important thing I want you to know about me is that I support families throughout their entire feeding career no matter what that my look like (at breast or away from breast). I am here to offer unbiased support, evidence based knowledge and thoughtful care.

In my free time I enjoy camping, kayaking and fishing with my wonderful family and feel very lucky to live in the PNW!
